To enable the Senior Leadership Team to take an analytical as well as creative approach to their Strategic planning process, Synergia have a framework that we use, based on Andrew’s Strategic Analysis framework which includes:

  • SWOT analysis
  • Porter’s Five Forces
  • Boston matrix
  • PESTLE

Plus other key questions and reviews.

Each member of the SLT completes this analysis individually, to create an analytical document, which captures the individual thoughts and highlights the key areas to be addressed within the coming academic year, as well as looking at the long term 3-10 years.

We will then facilitate a two-day strategic planning event, which enables honest and open discussion around these key areas, and ends with a framework for the School development plan, with an action plan including:

  • Who is responsible for each area
  • Who is in the team to address that area
  • How the team will hold each other to account
  • The commitment from the team to deliver the results
  • The consequences when someone doesn’t deliver
