Clare and Jim created the Synergia brand in 2003, when they wanted to find a better work/life balance with their two young children.  They both left senior roles in blue chip companies to create the Synergia brand.

Synergia came from synergy – the combined power of a group of things when they are working together that is greater than the total power achieved by each working separately:  (Cambridge English Dictionary):

Initially their approach was to offer project management and HR management to any organisation that needed those services.  As time progressed they refined their offering to organisational development, and in 2008 Synergia Coaching was created to reflect the growth of the business within that sector.

Clare worked with her first Independent school, Sherborne Girls, in 2005. At that stage Dr Simon Lettman, HMC, took Clare under his wing and supported her working with schools around leadership development, coaching and solving people problems.

Jim continued to grow the Project Management side of the business with significant contracts within the NHS and Private Sector.
