Level 3
Award in Workplace Coaching for Team Leaders and First Line Managers

The Level 3 Award in Workplace Coaching introduces you to the key features of workplace coaching and provides you with the knowledge, skills and confidence to coach as part of your normal work role.

Achieving your ILM Level 3 Award:

Attend three days of tutor-led learning to enable you to:

  • Understand good practice in workplace coaching by exploring the role, responsibilities, characteristics and behaviour of the workplace coach;
  • Organise workplace coaching by looking at the range and value of different learning resources to support safe and effective coaching;
  • Undertake six hours of supervised coaching in your workplace.
And:
  • Complete awritten assignment which assesses your ability to plan workplace coaching and perform effectively as a workplace coach;
  • Maintain a coaching diary to reflect on your 6 hours of workplace coaching.

Once you have completed your Level 3 Award in Workplace Coaching you may wish to continue your studies and achieve the Level 3 Certificate for Professional Workplace Coaches or the Level 5 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring in Management

Our ILM coaching programmes can be held either in-house or at our modern two storey building based on Staffordshire Technology Park.  Typically completed within a 20-week timeframe, our Level 3 programmes are held throughout the year.
